Service-learning through collaborative innovation in Rural China

Welcome to PEER

NEW! Our fifth annual Summer Program is now recruiting volunteers to serve in rural Hunan, Guizhou, or Guangxi. Go to our Chinese site for details.

Peer Experience Exchange Rostrum (PEER) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bring equal opportunity for higher education to secondary school students in rural China. In particular, we work with teachers and students from low-income and ethnic minority areas in southwestern China. through integrative summer programs focusing on liberal arts in a rural setting and service-learning.

PEER’s summer program for rural secondary school students, first started in 2007, cherishes the values of independence, creativity, teamwork, and citizenship through our student centered “PEER Method”.
