PEER Method
The PEER Method is our approach to resolve problems in rural secondary education and in promoting rural service among our community members.

- In our Service-Learning Community, we create an interactive platform of exchange, where volunteers can together discuss and learn about volunteering in rural Chinese secondary schools, and exchange the experience of their service.
- Then, volunteers together design courses for a three-week Summer Program in a comprehensive orientation, and depart for service with their teams. One week of the program will be reserved for Service Trip, during which volunteers will travel together with students to explore local society and performance service projects. The summer experience ends with an end-of-program gathering of all volunteers for reflections.
- Selected volunteers may choose to participate in our new Project PEER, a social entrepreneurship contest that asks volunteers to think creatively based on their summer experiences to either attempt to resolve a concrete social problem together with their students, or to come up with ways of sustainable service that directly benefits their students.
